Yorkville University Symposium
Sustainable Future for the Planet and Its’ People – Challenges and Solutions

We welcome papers based on creative problem identification and constructive responses to the following U.N. Sustainable Development Goals as they relate to the Canadian context and experience are welcome: 1. Gender Inequality & Professional Ethics 2. Canada’s Political and Economic Role in a Global Context 3. Quality Education 4. Climate Change in Time of Environmental Crisis.
The symposium will be held in four sessions based on the 4 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and will consist of 15 to 20-minute presentations followed by 15-to-20-minute discussions.
Paper Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 300 words, and text (excluding abstract and endnotes) of no more than 3,000 words sent to: afuyarchuk@yorkvilleu.ca no later than February 28th. Two papers are required: (1) authored, including contact information; (2) anonymized with any identifying information removed. Identify under which theme the paper is submitted. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 15th. If you are considering submitting your paper, please send an expression of interest that includes a brief outline of your paper topic to afuyarchuk@yorkvilleu.ca.
Papers will be blind peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, research depth, technical considerations (structure and accuracy of content), and relevance to the theme of the Symposium. Digital media presentations can be accommodated.

Accepted papers will be considered for publication through a separate review process. The presenters will be contacted directly about the submission details.
Papers by graduate students will be considered for an Essay and Poster Award. Please indicate your eligibility for the award in your submission.
